From the Beginning
My grandfather, Walter Roob, started his photography business in 1939. He served during World War II as an army photographer, specializing in aerial shots of bombs destroying their targets. And, taking advantage of the G.I. Bill, he earned a degree at Marquette University to help him better practice his art — honed by studying under noted landscape photographer Ansel Adams.
His name was known throughout the community and industry. I remember visiting his studio as a young boy and enjoying the passion he had for making others laugh and seeing the beauty in all people. He knew how to capture their feelings and emotions in the most captivating way.
My uncle, Jon Roob, has carried on that tradition in his studio to this day and my goal is to continue this practice. I have always been fascinated with the ability to stop a moment in time with the simple tap of a button on my camera. Let us help you to capture YOU as you truly are in this moment of time.
It’s one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like, it’s another thing to make a portrait of who they are.
About the Owner - Aaron Roob
Before I was a photographer, I was a young kid living in Wisconsin with hopes and dreams of being like my grandfather. I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1996 and was stationed in California. After leaving the Corps, I joined the corporate world, eventually landing in Atlanta, Georgia working as a Quality Supervisor.
I'm fortunate to be with an incredible woman, Heather, and we have an energetic, spirited daughter together named Hailey, my son Cameron, and my step-daughter, Cayla. They make my life complete, and I am truly blessed to be surrounded by them daily.
Photography started as a hobby, but has quickly become my passion. I hope you choose me to capture those special moments in life. Together we can create a lifetime of memories.
